‘NEW’ Seamless New Heel and Toe Method

I have been reading my vintage sock books and many introduce new ways to make socks. One of the ways is to make a T and sew it together. I am not sure how smooth the result would be. This one is interesting though. Here is the pattern for the Seamless New Heel and Toe Method from No 110 Monarch Hand Knit Sock Book (PDF, 1.6M). Tell me what you think!
